The Academic year normally begins on 1st July and ends on 30th June. There are two vacations during an academic year i.e. Diwali Vacation of approximately 20 days and summer vacation (after the yearly examination) of approximately 40 days.There are two Sessional Exams. First Sessional Exam is conducted prior to Diwali Vacation and Second Sessional Exam are conducted in April/May. In additional to these examinations there are periodical tests conducted by the College. The marks obtained is Sessional exams are conveyed to the Board and is given due weight age in yearly Board Exam.The students are required to put in 36 hours per week for the Academic activities, which includes instructions for theory and performance of practical. There are normally 32 weeks in an Academic year. The distribution of theory and practical periods is as recommended by the Board.

Eligibility criteria for Maharashtra State Candidate in first
year :
Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the SSC (Std.X)
examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or
its equivalent examination with minimum 35% marks in aggregate* with subjects
Math/Mathematics, General Science and English.
Eligibility criteria for Maharashtra State
Candidates passing
HSC science
Vocational/Technical :
Candidate should be Indian National and have passed with minimum 35% marks in HSC
science / HSC science with Vocational/Technical subjects with appropriate
specialization.
Note :-
1) H.S.C. Science means plain H.S.C. Science
2) H.S.C. Vocational means + 2 Level Minimum Competency Vocational course in Engineering
Group (MCVC)
3) H.S.C. Technical means + 2 Level Bifocal Program in Engineering Group
